About us:
The Eastern Sydney Islamic Welfare Services Incorporated (esiwsi) is a non-profit, charitable organisation established in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and have been operating
for last 20 years. Our organisation is dedicated to the promotion of the Islamic education, religion, culture and social
welfare.
The esiwsi provides Islamic education and encourages the understanding of Islam among other faiths and fosters better relations with other faiths of our communities.
Our Missions:
- To facilitate Islamic prayers and education.
- To organise and celebrate Islamic festivals and social functions.
- To strive for the unity and co-operation of all Muslims, and for the better understanding and goodwill among Muslims and non-Muslims.
- To represent and enhance the interests of the Muslim community in Australia.
- To provide assistance to Muslims in Australia who are in distress and misfortune.
- Endeavour to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims.
- To establish and maintain contact with other organisations having similar objectives as those of this Association.
- To build and maintain an Islamic public library.
- To establish an institution for imparting knowledge and reinforcing culture amongst Muslim children and adults.
- To liaise and co-operate with members, schools, affiliate educational institutions, educational projects and any other similar organisation that this association sees fit to further the advancement of Islamic education in Australia.
- To help prepare teaching criteria, aids and curricular for the teaching of Islamic education in Australia.
- To raise and operate funds required for the activities and facilities of the association.
- To establish and maintain centres for the research and distribution of Islamic educational resources and materials.
